Replacement of transformers and reconstruction of RZA АТ- 5.6 at Zainsk Condensation Plant

During shutdowns of power units at Zainsk Condensation Plant, connected to collecting bars 220 kV, necessity arises to transfer capacity from bus 500 kV to buses 220 kV through auto transformer groups 5АТ and 6АТ. Such capacity transfer presently is limited by capacity of total winding АТ5 (neutral). In situations alike the coverage of deficiency in the grids 220 and 110 kV is covered by loading the CHPP equipment in non- cost-efficient condensation regime.

Within one month of operation only through such regime the fuel over- burning reaches 20 m. rubles in money terms. Replacement of 5АТ of capacity135 MVA with transformers of capacity 167 MVA and reconstruction of relay protection and automation allows to increase the overflow of capacity from bus 500 to bus 220 kV at Zai Condensation Plant and thus prevent the costly regimes and exclude fuel over- burning
