Provision of industrial safety of production companies

The JSC "Network Company" branches operate 20 hazardous production objects, which in accordance with the law "On Production Safety" were registered in the State Register of hazardous production objects as well as insured.

In 2007 the site of gas distribution of BEN was excluded from the Register of hazardous production objects after its selling.

In 2008 because of replacement of aerial switches at SS "Abdrahmanovo" AEN the site of organization of compressor feeding of compressed air of SS "Abdrahmanovo" was excluded from the Register of hazardous production objects.

In 2007 were completed 179 certifications and control tests of the facilities operated on these hazardous production objects. No emergencies or accidents were reported at OPO JSC "Network Company".

Labor protection

In 2007 called the "Year of Labor Protection" the production traumatism at JSC "Network Company" somewhat reduced compared to the previous years. The reduction of traumatism was promoted by complex of actions by the branches developed as part of realization of provisions of the order by JSC "Network Company" #27 dd., 02/02/2007 "On Further Improving the Labor Protection and Reduction of traumatism at JSC "Network Company"" as well as active work in this dimension of engineers of each level and first of all of the branch managers.

In each branch division is valid the system of three-stage control over labor protection. Branch managers, staff of production control divisions on the regular basis unexpectedly checked the work stations of personnel. According to approved schedule in 2007 were done at each branch the reciprocal check ups of protection of labor. The activities by the authorized for protection of labor in subdivisions became more intensive. Results of their work are reflected in the monthly orders basing on results of holding the days of LP putting tasks for the coming month.

The staff of the company is provided with uniform, the electricians dress in uniform made of "NOMEX" tissue, electrical arc-proof. Continued certification of work stations with regard to labor conditions. The number of staff engaged at the certified work stations compared to average number of the Company staff constituted by the end of у 2007 the figure of 98.9%. The Certificates of compliance of woks for protection of labor were received (Safety Certificates) by the Company branches: Buinsk and Bugulma grids.

The competition was held for best labor protection organization in branches. First ranked the Buinsk grids, second rated Naverezhnye Chelny, third - Yelabuga networks.

As part of jointly adopted by JSC "Таtenergo" and Ministry of Education and Science of RT "Program for conducting at educational institutions of Republic of Tatarstan of annual actions for prevention of electro-traumatism in children" the staff of JSC "Network Company" in 2007 realized actions for prevention of electro-traumatism in children at the facilities of the Company: bringing in accordance with requirements of NTD the technical condition of the electrical installations; replacement of HL-0.4 kV laid close to schools with HLI (with insulated cables), аs well as explanatory work was conducted in basics of electrical safety for children in the form of discussions and lecturers at schools with invitation of specialists from branches, presentations in media, video movies on TV.

In total in the Company the expenditures for 2007 for labor protection constituted 61.166 m. rubles. Major dimensions in labor protection for 2008 were defined by the Order by JSC "Network Company" #21 dd., 15/02/2008 "On Tasks in Labor Protection for 2008", where the major objectives are provision of further reduction of production traumatism and excluding the casualties at the facilities of the Company.

Fire safety

In 2007 the branches of JSC "Network Company" did in the last year big work for bringing the entities to adequate anti-fire condition. The 634 actions were made to remove violations of regulations of fire safety, detected by inspectors of Gospozhnadzor of GU MCS Russia for RT and fire rescue commissions of the branches of JSC "Network Company", were utilized 7 innovations aimed at improving the fire safety of the objects. The work went on to protect thee cables (with flammable coatings) with certified fire-proof coatings. The fire-proof processing of cables was done at КEN, NChEN, NizEN and ChEN, where the total area of cable lines treated by fire-proof pastes was 10,968.85 sq.m. for the amount of 14,592 th. rubles. At NChEN were installed the metal fire-proof certified doors, which were mounted for amount of 784.32 th. rubles within a year.

Throughout the year in each branch the work was done regarding mounting, repair and reconstruction of fire rescue automatic devices, amount of the works done constituted 3,525.59 th. rubles. For maintenance of fire alarm installations were spent 862.28 th. rubles. Objects of branches of JSC "Network Company" are in full equipped with fire extinguishers including in 2007 were purchased 382 new fire extinguishers for amount 310.75 th. rubles and were recharged 987 existing fire extinguishers for amount of 346.16 th. rubles. The respective preparation of personnel of branches of JSC "Network Company" was done regarding fire safety- the classes were held, professional-technical training with classes on fire-technical issues, anti-fire training.

16 staff (including managers and specialists ) pursued training on the skill upgrading courses in the training institutions, having license of MCS of Russia (NchEN - 2 staff, ChEn - 2 staff, AEN - 3 staff, BuEN - 9 staff). As a result of the work done, aimed at fire safety of energy entities and buildings, in 2007 on the sites of the branches of JSC "Network Company" no fires were reported because of violation of fire safety rules.

In 2007 the competition was held in the branches for their best fire rescue condition. The most active, organized and target work was done in Neberezhnye Chelny, Kazan and Bugulma electrical networks, which respectively ranked 1, 2 and 3 among the branches of JSC "Network Company".
