Today in accordance with the order by Executive Committee of Kazan in the capital has been declared about the beginning of the heating season 2009-2010. The heat to the socially significant objects was supplied ahead of one week. To fix the system of heat supply in the houses, social objects and provide the heat to each consumer will be required at least the two weeks.

The function of heat and hot water supply at Kazan the JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company" renders, servicing 75% of the city consumers. This year the company planned to do a repair, reconstruction and capital constriction of over 40,000 l.m. of the trunk and intra-quarter grids, 620 million rubles were allocated to this aim. As says the General Director of JSC "КTC" Shamil Hismatullin, the planned works on the objects related to heat supply to consumers are done pursuant to the approved schedule. In Moscow, St.Petersburg and Kazan the annual replacement and repair of the heat lines reaches 4-5% оf the total length of the grids, in the other towns of Russia this figure does not exceed 0.8-1%.

The amount of works for the next year in the first turn will depend upon the tariff for heat transportation. In case if the tariff will remain unchanged and taking into account the inflation, the plans may reduce which will "affect the reliability of heat supply to the city", considers the manager of the thermal network company. The wear of the heat lines at Kazan constitutes over 50%. But even under such conditions the company manages to reduce the number of breaks a well as reduce the heat losses due to energy conservation technology utilization.

All of the works related to repair, reconstruction, capital construction of the heat lines are done using the heat supply pipelines in the polyethylene insulation with foam polyurethane insulation and hot water supply pipes of "isoproflex-А" type instead of the traditional steel ones. If required to increase the capacity of the heat carrier, the works are done with increased diameter of the trunk heat lines.

The selection of the contractors and suppliers is as significant part of reliable heat supply to Kazan. The contracts are signed exclusively basing on results of the tenders and bids. "There is a small chance of the incidental people and non-quality equipment" – the director of the thermal network company is confident, - "This is the hard work. We choose only those organizations that have enough skill and always pay special attention to eh quality of the supplied products".

Regarding the company itself, including over 900 staff, no personnel was laid –off. In the opinion of Shamil Hismatullin, to fire means a working place vacant, and "we do not have excessive staff, each is a professional, besides we cannot but consider the largest responsibility of our company before Kazan and townspeople". To date Kazan thermal network company does the capital construction of the heat lines to the objects of the social mortgage – houses, planned for commissioning in the current year. As well the company together with the customers is in charge of heat supply to the structures of "Summer Students Games-2013", the design brief for 60 objects has been already received.
