Installed electrical capacity of the power system as of 1.01.2008 was 6,975 MW. Of which figure the capacity of all of the CHP - 5,770 MW (82.72%), capacity of Nizhnekamsk Hydro Plant - 1,205 MW (17.28%). In accordance with the solution of the commission and technical acts of remarking the steam turbines: Kazan CHP-2 ÒG ¹ 7 ST-50-130/13 in ST-65/75-130/13 with installed capacity 65 ÌW, Kazan CHP-3 ÒG ¹ 2 R-35/50-130/13 in R-50-130/13 with installed capacity 50 ÌW, Nizhnekamsk CHP (PTK-1) ÒG ¹ 3, 8, 11 R-70/100-130/15 in R-100-130/15 with installed capacity of 100 ÌW each, and because of separating from JSC "Generation Company" of branch of Urussu Condensation Plant, in accordance with purchase-sale contract ¹ D 370/85 dd.,08.06.2007.
Structure of turbine equipment at the CHP is like follows: installed electrical capacity of condensation turbines 2,400 MW (12 blocks of Zainsk Condensation Plant ), cogeneration electrical capacity 3,370 ÌW (40 turbines) and GT - 2 units.
In structure of the cogeneration turbine equipment – the turbines of type Ò with heating extractions have the installed capacity 1,535 MW (14 units), cogeneration turbines of type PT with production and heating extractions of steam 950 MW (12 unit) cogeneration back pressure turbines of type R (PR) 835 MW (14 units). Installed peak capacity of the system is determined by the capacity of Nizhnekamsk Hydro Plant and constitutes 1,205 MW – 17.28%. Regarding the initial parameters of steam the structure of installed equipment is given in the Table.

Installed thermal capacity of the power system as of 1.01.2008 was 15,032 Gcal/h. Of them on CHP 13,410 Gcal/h - 89,2%. The thermal Installed capacity of hot-water boilers is 5,982 Gcal/h (46 boilers) – 39/8%, thermal capacity of turbine extraction in the system is 8,820 Gcal/h - 58.8%). Available capacity of the district heating extractions is , 3,266 Gcal/h – 37.03%,of cogeneration industrial extractions is 5,554 Gcal/h – 62.97%.
