The goal of environmental policy is minimization of negative impact upon environment, enhancing company’s competitiveness on heat and electricity markets, attracting investments and increase of capitalization of the company.
Realization of the environmental policy by "Generation Company" JSC will allow to enhance the environmental security of production, provide integral approach to utilization of natural resources.
For realization of environmental policy of the Society the environmental program of JSC "Generation Company" JSC has be developed for 2007-2009, aimed at reduction of negative impact of power engineering facilities on environment and further improvement of environmental situation in Republic of Tatarstan and optimization of environmental expenses of the Company.
Basic divisions of the program are the actions for protection of the air, water resources, soils, and wastes handling, improving the system of management, monitoring and rationing of the environment quality, of environmental education, aimed at improving the environment condition, saving the natural resources and improving the technical and economical figures of the Company.
Basic tasks of environmental program in "Generation Company" JSC are:
- utilization of the modern and efficient resource conservation technologies;
- extension of the system of processing and utilization of wastes;
- evaluation of quality of environment and permissible impact upon it by power engineering facilities;
- arrangement of control of environmental situation on the sites, in sanitary- protection zones and in districts of subsidiaries location;
- accomplishment of industrial territories of subsidiaries;
- improving the system of environmental control;
- increase the environmental educating of personnel.
In the course of realization of the program the focus will be made on modernization of basic equipment, decommissioning of the aged equipment with its replacement with enhanced reliability equipment with high environmental characteristics.
Solving the environmental problems of "Generation Company" JSC will provide simultaneous increase of environmental, energy and economical effectiveness of production.
Expected economical effect is over 923.8 mln. Rubles. Prevented environmental damage from realization of measures of environmental program is over 70.5 mln. rubles
With the growth of production of electricity and heat within the last 5 years as a result of application of resource saving and energy effective technologies, vast utilization of research developments and innovations, the bulk emissions of polluting stuff reduced by 68%, water consumption reduced by 27.5%, by 55% were reduced the wastes placed in the environment.
