Developments by Tatarstan power engineering specialists regarding labor protection аappreciated at the International Exhibition Forum

Engineering Center "Energoprogress", the major contractor of JSC "Tatenergo" in the area of engineering services, took part in the X Jubilee International Specialized Exhibition "Safety and Labor Protection - 2006". In total on a single stand of Republic were presented the products of the 23 organizations, including the "Tatenergo" holding companies.

As part of International Exhibition Forum was held the IV International Film Festival for movies about labor protection with the motto "Cinema for Human Protection". Engineering Center of Tatarstan power system attended it with its videos on technical theme. The movie "Certification of Working Positions" was presented with Diploma and special prize.

General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" awarded the medal of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia "For Fraternity in the Name of Escape"

The medal to the head of Tatarstan energy holding was personally awarded by the Chief of MES of Russia, General of the army Sergei Shoigu during the plenary meeting of MES of Republic of Tatarstan, held in Kazan. This award became the high appreciation of operation of "Tatenergo" holding in the last years in the area of prevention of possible emergency situations in the power engineering companies and personnel readiness to competent actions in the extreme conditions.

On basis of Republican competition for the best keeping and readiness of protection facilities of civil defense the power engineering specialists also annually rank the best, and their managers are annually mentioned in the summarized orders by the manager of civil defense of RT. Within the last years only by orders of Prime -Minister of RT were promoted Directors of Kazan CHP-1, Nizhnekamsk Hydro Power Plant, Nizhnekamsk CHP А.Bahteev, R.Galiullin, R.Aisin, R.Husainov. The branch of JSC "Generation Company" Nizhnekamsk CHP has became one of they best in Republic regarding the issues of CD and ES.

Rating Agency "Expert RА" awarded rating of credit solvency "А" to JSC "Tatenergo"

This rating means that the credit solvency of the company is on the high level, and the basic production figures, financial situation and level of corporate management of "Tatenergo" conforms to the level necessary for full an timely fulfillment of commitments. As well the "Tatenergo" was awarded the rating grade of reliability of bond loans at the level А.

In Tatarstan power holding the Head Quarters are founded for work with consumers.

The Head Quarters headed by the Deputy General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" for corporate policy and asset management Damir Safiullin was founded to the aim of control over the meeting the applicable laws in relations with the branches and subsidiaries of the holding "Tatenergo" with consumers and timely consideration of the complaints of citizens and legal entities of Republic. It is one more step of Republic towards its consumer. The sale company Energosbyt of JSC "Tatenergo" acquired a new building

The official opening of the head office of Energosbyt on Kazan avenue Yamasheva was attended by Prime-Minister of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov. As the head of the RT Government said, Energosbyt is significant in providing operation of the system of [power supply in general. As Prime-Ministerа of RT said pursuant to the new rules of the energy market it requires the right conclusion and implementation of the contracts and good system of work with subscribers and the good legal base, careful planning and metering the consumption and availability of the competent specialists and software.

The sale company of Tatarstan energy holding incorporates today 9 divisions and 60 RPY in entire Republic. Within the last two years were build the 9 new premises and was fully reconstructed the office in Naberezhnye Chelny, where were created the conditions for consumers.

Clerkly Administration of Muslims of Republic of Tatarstan expressed appreciation to the power engineering specialists

The appreciation by the first clerics of Tatarstan, expressed in the letter to the Director of Republican energy holding Ilshat Fardiev, the power engineering specialists awarded for assistance in building the new Islamic educational establishment in Yutazy region of the Republic.

The madrasah for women named after Fanis, opened in the village Urussu on January 26, this year, was built by the friends and the relatives in honor of the diseased militia colonel Fanis Asgatovich Karimov, who died in 2004 in doing his duty in Republic of Ingushetia. In the difficult for the Tatarstan power system years he founded and headed the Office for Regime and Security of "Tatenergo".

The winners of competition on results for repair campaign 2006 were named the boiler at Zainsk GRES and turbine at Naberezhnye Chelny CHP. Nizhnekamsk CHP is included in the list of the best 100 organizations of Russia in the area of ecology and environmental management and awarded Diploma and medal of the Laureate of competition “Golden Medal “European Quality".

2001 through 2006 the gross polluting emissions in the air at Nizhnekamsk CHP reduced by 9,732 tons; discharge of sewage waters reduced by 4.7 m. tons; volumes of wastes formation reduced by 1,367 tons. The volume of production at Nizhnekamsk CHP increase annually.

In 2006 the costs for implementing the nature conservation actions at Nizhnekamsk CHP were 6 m. 380 th. rubles. Environmental effect from realization of nature conservation actions was 24.5 m. rubles, the figure exceeds the 2005-year figure. The prevented ecological damage was 8.9 m. rubles.

Basing on results for 2006 the JSC "Tatenergo" again named the Best Tatarstan enterprise for innovations and rationalization

The title and the Cup were awarded to "Tatenergo" holding in the course of annual Republican competition for the best innovative, rationalization and patent and license work among the companies, organizations and enterprises of Republic of Tatarstan in 2006. In total in the passed year the 1,549 staff of power system stations, i.e. each 9 power engineering specialists of 100 became the authors of rationalization offers, 1,412 of whom were commissioned in production. Total economical effect from their use exceeded 169.5 million rubles. Calculating per a staff it constitutes 11 th. rubles.

JSC "Tatenegro" named Laureate of competition "100 Best Organizations of Russia. Ecology and Environmental Management"

The competition was organized by Committee of Council of Federation of RF for science, culture, education, health care, and ecology.

Grid Company JSC "Tatenergo" holding is a winner in the 1 All-Russia competition for best organization involved in realization of priority national project "Available and Comfortable Accommodation – to citizens of Russia"

The involvement of the company in the project "Available and Comfortable Accommodation – to citizens of Russia" is realized through financing, development and implementation of program of modernization, construction and reconstruction of the grids for electricity supply to objects of ZKH, utilization of innovative technologies, cost management in operation and repair of grids, recovery of switchgears and in-house metering, control over electricity quality.

Development of project documentation and construction of utility networks and facilities of electricity supply according to program of social mortgage in RT will be the responsibility of JSC "Tatenergo", and its branch JSC "Grid Company". Investments cots of the company in 2006 for building the electrical network infrastructure regarding these objects constituted 198.6 million rubles.

Were commissioned grids - over 54 km of aerial and cable lines, 28 transformer and distribution substations. For 2007 are planned capital investments in amount of over 250 m. rubles.

In the big industrial center of Tatarstan . Naberezhnye Chelny the branch of Arbitration energy court was founded.

Many production companies and entrepreneurs are concentrated in Zakamie region that use the Arbitral clause in the energy supply contract. This category is a potential user of alternative methods of dispute solution in business relations.

Nizhnekamsk CHP organized the Charity Forum in Nizhnekamsk Tatar Drama Theater.

Before Forum the fair was organized in the theater lobby where marketed the author works by children from general, special and correction schools as well as disabled children. Participants of the Forumа , 200 staff of Nizhnekamsk CHP were pleased to buy various hand made items.

All the funds from the sales will be sent to the children’s therapy sanatorium where annually are treated up to 1,000 children aged 2.5 through 7, sick with bronchi, allergic, digestive diseases, kidney diseases, who underwent surgery etc.

Board of Directors of JSC "Tatenergo" approved priorities of investment program of the holding for 2007

These priorities include construction of the steam gas installations at 3 power plants – Kazan CHP-1, Kazan CHP-3, Zainsk Condensation Plant, reconstruction of heat line №2 for increase of its capacity and transfer of big volumes of cheap heat form Kazan CHP-1 to downtown. The priority works at Kazan CHP-2 are replacement of oil switches 110 kV with SF6 ones and installation of microprocessor relay protection automation. At Kazan CHP-3 – reconstruction of switches 110 kV for enhanced electricity supply to JSC "Kazanorgsintez", at Zainsk GRES - reconstruction of outdoor switchgear 110, 220, 500 kV.

At Zakamie plants - Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny CHP, Nizhnekamsk Hydro Power Plant the focus will be made on reconstruction of basic equipment. In Grid Company of the holding the basic task for the next year will be reconstruction of electrical grids, namely, tens of substations 10-110 kV and mass replacement of non- insulated cables with self bearing insulated ones (SIP).

The investment Memorandum between JSC "Tatenergo" and JSC TGC "Urussu GRES" was signed that stipulates the sale of Urussu GRES to private investоrу.

According to the signed Memorandum the investоr undertakes within the 2 years invest over 500 million rubles with commissioning of the additional capacities up to 100 megawatt at first stage. Also is considered the program of development of Urussu GRES of total term up to 2011 with declared amount of investments up to 6 billion rubles. The Memorandum was approved and signed in the presence of Premier of Republic of Tatarstan R.N.Minnihanov.

Trade union organizations of the branches of companies of the holding "Tatenergo" named the best in the industry

Presidium of All-Russia committee of "Elektrotradeunion" summoned the results of the competition for the title "The Best Primary Trade Union Organizations" on results for 2006. Were presented the best of 1,745 "primaries" that are united by the " All-Russia Elektrotradeunion". The primary trade union organization of Nizhnekamsk CHP, the Generation Company of JSC "Tatenergo" with exempt chairman of the trade union in person of Leonti Alexeev was awarded the first place in the first group. In the second group - with full time chairman of the trade union – first ranked the primary trade union organization of Bugulma grids of the Network Company of Tatarstan energy holding. The trade union is headed by Saria Shamgullina.

Ilshat Fardiev, General Director of JSC "Tatenergo", awarded golden medal by Ministry of Agriculture of RF

Award "For Contribution in Agricultural Complex of Russia Development" was handed by Minister of Agriculture of RF Alexey Gordeev during his business trip to Republic of Tatarstan. Minister of Agriculture familiarized with the companies "Kamski Bacon" and "Chelny-Broiler", incorporated in "Agroforce-Grupp" holding.

Summoning what he saw at "Agroforce-Grupp", Alexey Gordeev told that founding such modern entities as "Kamski Bacon" and "Chelny-Broiler" is very significant for the country. The gala opening of the new entity "Tatarstan Electro-Technical Company" (JSC "ТАТEC"), that will work for Republican power system, was attended by Prime-Minister of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov, General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev, General Director of JSC "ТАТEC" Marat Kamalov, head of Zainsk municipal entity Renat Fardiev and Director of "Company of Production and Technical Procurements, ltd" (CPTP) Elbik Safaev.

The factory is the first licensed production of electro- technical equipment and will meet the needs of Republic of Tatarstan and Russian consumer, which may bring the factory to projected capacity.

Tatarstan power engineering specialists realized prevention actions for children protection from electro-traumas

The second year of realization of Republican program of prevention electro-traumas among children adopted by JSC "Tatenergo" together with Ministry of Education and Science of RT, started with repair of aerial electricity transmission lines near the schools.

In 2006 the specialists of JSC "Grid Company" checked the condition of electric facilities, located near and on territories of 1,203 schools and other educational establishments, places of rest of children of RT. In total were checked 883 transformer substations, 732 aerial lines 0.4-10 kV.

As part of program of kid traumatism the power engineering specialists will conduct the holidays "Safe Vacations". The Days of Children Protection were held in Zelenodolsk and Arsk, today the action goes in settlement St.Karatun of Apastovski region. At Republican TV channel "Tatarstan – New Century" the clips will be shown about behavior near electrical installations.

Power engineering specialists awarded three prizes at annual Republican competition "ECOleader"

For utilization of resource conservation technologies by generation company, JSC "Tatenergo" was awarded Diploma of winner among companies of first group of annual Republican competition "ECOleader", held by Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan and Cabinet of Ministers of Republic. Separate award in nomination "For Efficient Environmental Program" was awarded to Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP. Zainsk Condensation Plant received Diploma in nomination "Best Service of Environment Protection".

The annual meeting of JSC "Tatenergo" stockholders was held, attended by Prime-Minister of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov

Stockholders considered the standard for annual meeting issues: results for 2006; approval of annual accounting reporting; distribution of profit of the Company for 2006 and paying out the dividends; electing the members of Board of Directors of the Company and Auditor’s Committee; approval of Auditоr of the Company and entering changes upon the Articles of Association.

As was said in report by General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev, in 2006 JSC "Tatenergo" worked as the valid subject of wholesale market of electrical energy, successfully passing the peak of winter maximum and satisfying the growing needs of Republic of Tatarstan. Production of electricity in 2006 was 24 billion 860 million. KWh and increased by 4.8% or 1 billion 130 million kWh compared to 2005. Stable growth of generation was in 3-4 quarters of 2006 because of grown energy consumption in Republic (by 5.4 %) and energy supplies to wholesale market. On results for 12 months balance –acceptance was 135 million kWh. Regarding settlements the money balance is positive and was 76 million rubles. Supply of heat grew by 2.9% and was 31 million 530 th. Gcal. Level of settlements of consumers with energy companies for electrical energy and heat in 2006 was 100% of current charges. Due to work by the Holding entities with debtors the volume of accrued indebtedness for electrical energy and heat reduced.

Use of fuel at JSC "Tatenergo" plants continued growing in 2006. Specific consumption of fuel for supply of electricity was 324.2 g/kWh and reduced against norm by 2.3 g/kWh. Specific consumption of fuel for supply of heat wаs 137.1 kg/Gcal and reduced against norm by 0.8 kg/Gcal. It was due to enhanced technical level of equipment operation and improvement of structure of production of electrical energy and heat.

The last year was a breakthrough in capital construction and was marked by upgrading the fixed assets in the power system. Investments aimed at their renovation exceeded in 2006 5 billion rubles. Total amount of money invested in fixed assets in companies of the Holding, constituted 7 billion 277 million 400 th. rubles. For comparison: in 2005 volume of investments aimed at capital construction , was 4.2 billion rubles.

Key objects of investments became construction of the new heat bridge from Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP till Zyab settlement and heat lines between Kazan CHPP-1 and DBH "Azino" with 2 pump stations on streets Tihomirnova and Vishnevskogo and reconstruction of the trunk and intra-quarter thermal grids. Regarding upgrading the generation and grid facilities, in 2006 was commissioned the return osmoses installation at Zainsk Condensation Plant , reconstruction of substation 110 kV "Оsinovo", "Ptitseprom", "Vostochnaya" was completed, were laid over 400 km of SIP.

Realization of Chelny project by JSC "Tatenergo" regarding leveling in big town of Tatarstan tariffs for heat, called by President of Tatarstan "example of housing problems solving", cost the energy holding 840 million rubles. New heat line allows to supply to consumers cheaper heat, co- generated at NCh CHPP. Due the project over 100 thousand of residents of Naberezhnye Chelny now pay for heat twice cheaper, than earlier. Transfer of the remaining part of town population to optimized tariff will take place in 2007-08.

Considering the course of implementation of Program "Energo resource efficiency in Republicе of Tatarstan for 2006-2010" at the meeting of Government of Republicи, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev put task to reach the same result in Kazan, where the cheap energyя of thermal plants shall replace the heat from small boiler houses. After founding the JSC "KTK" the dimensions of investing activity of the Company changed dramatically. Kazan Thermal Grid Company united the heat business, that had KTS JSC "Tatenergo" in capital of Republic, and over half of property of MUP "PO "Kazenergo", major part of which is in obsolete condition whish resulted in necessity of considerable capital investments in reconstruction of the entities. Besides, in 2006 were invested 326.5 million rubles in construction of bridge between КCHPP-1 - DBH "Azino", 66.9 million rubles – for construction of heat lines till Teatralnaya square, 55.8 million rubles – for construction of one more heat line from source DBH "Sabvinovo".

At Kazan CHPP-3 - reconstruction of switches 110 kV for enhanced electricity supply to JSC "Kazanorgsintez", at Zainsk Condensation plant - reconstruction of outdoor switchgear 110, 220, 500 kV. At Zakamie plants - Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP, Nizhnekamsk HPP the focus was made on reconstruction of basic equipment. In Grid Company of the holding the basic current year task will be reconstruction of electrical grids entities, they number tens of substations 10-110 kV and mass replacement of non- insulated cables with self-bearing cables (SIP).

Speaking about potential investоrs, Prime –Minister told that both Tatarstan, Russian and foreign investоrs may become the strategic partners of power engineering. Regarding volumes of investments for upgrading the power system, as said General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev, it is necessary for the time period till 2010 above 24 billion rubles.

In Kazan was held fifth scientific-technical conference of non-profit partnership "Innovation Power Engineering Club"

The fifth forum of leading specialists in turbine building and operation and design of turbine equipment was devoted to reconstruction and upgrading of turbine equipment, utilization of the modern innovative technologies and transfer to servicing at the power engineering companies of Russia.

Generation Company of "Tatenergo" holding was named the Laureate of Program "Russian Power Engineering Olympus" in nomination "For Reduction of Emissions and Drainage"

Expert Council, including the independent experts, representing the state and entrepreneurial structures, scientists and representatives of professional associations, especially commented on target –oriented activity of Generation Company of Tatarstan energy holding, aimed at enhancing the environmental production safety. In the report by Expert Council it was emphasized that the Company has its environmental policy, the environmental Program for 2007-2009 was developed and adopted. Application at each plant the environmental technologies allowed to considerably reduce the pollution of environment which is significant for economical development of Republic of Tatarstan.

The annual general meeting of stockholders of JSC "Grid Company" was held

One of basic results were competition of the big project for formation in Republic of Tatarstan the single grid distribution company, the final stage of which was the merger of JSC "Tatelektroset".

In the grids in the last year were transferred 16,519 m. kWh of electricity. Total length of aerial electricity transmission lines constitutes 9,981.6 km. In 2006 were constructed and reconstructed 396 km of aerial lines using self-bearing insulated cable, replaced 60.7 th. of one-phase meters of electricity including meters of accuracy class 2.5 by 2.0 in branches of the Company, numbering 56.5 th. units, were installed 24 meters SET-4ТМ.03 at 13 substations.

Actions by part time emergency-rescue formations and management of JSC "Tatenergo" were highly appreciated by the watchers from Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering of Russia.

Commission from Minpromenergo of Russia checked the activity of the industry and object subsystems of prevention and liquidation of emergencies with fire safety of JSC "Tatenergo" holding. The complex training was held with branches and dependent companies of the holding.

Commissions for emergency satiations demonstrated the good professional competence during the training. Moscow commission emphasized the high quality of furnishing with necessary means, communications, special facilities and techniques of each rescue formation. Provision of legal and document base is organized good at each level.

Separately was marked the work of Nizhnekamsk CHP, Nizhnekamsk HPP, Naberezhnye Chelny CHP and JSC "RDU" in these dimensions.

Young specialists of Tatarstan power holding again gathered at the annual Forum

The Forum was attended by the leading top-mangers of the power system: First Deputy General Director – Director for Economy and Finances Gulsina Minnehanova, Technical Director Ilgizar Gaifullin, head of Security Office Almaz Kashapov, head for administrative issues Gusalia Ahmadieva.

The meeting held together with students and young researchers of the power engineering university, took place in the students health care camp "Shelanga". Together with the young associates the action was attended by rector of KGEU Yuri Petrushenko. As part of the Forum the power engineering specialists socialized together and held sports competitions, namely, tug of war and volleyball.

General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev awarded the Order of Honor

Director of the Tatarstan energy holding was awarded this high government award "for labor accomplishments and many-year scrupulous work" by order of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dd., 25 July 2007. The Order of Honor is awarded to citizens for the great accomplishments in various areas of national, production, research, social, cultural, public and charity activity, for achievements in highly professional staff, young generation educating, law and order keeping.

Ilshat Shaehovich Fardiev is included in this list of honorable citizens of the country as the outstanding manager of TEK, who made big input in development of power engineering industry of Tatarstan. Today JSC "Tatenergo" is one of the leading energy holdings of Russiaи for utilization of advanced technologies in area of power engineering industry, and its General Director occupies first positions among the leaders of the industry in the rating of the most professional managers of Russia.

The GT was commissioned on territory of Nizhnekamsk CHP.

President of Republic Mintimer Shaimiev involved in opening the object thanked the oil staff and power engineering specialists for that they had found the common language and interest. This event for the 40-the jubilee of JSC "Nizhnekamskneftehim", crowned the over two hundred joint work of the oil staff and power engineering specialists of Republic for creation the new energy source for the needs of the oil processing industry. Under conditions of the sharp deficiency of the funds the joint investing the power projects and energy consumers is the most prospective.

Total capacity of then GT’s together with heat recovery generators will be 75 МW of electricity and 150 t/h of steam and 30 аtа of heat.

Tatarstan power engineering specialists became the champions

Staff of Zainsk GRES in the two football competitions ranked first. First cup they received basing on results for open tournament of Ural Federal community on mini-football among the teams of Ural power system, sports clubs, where they participated on behalf of entire group of JSC "Generation Company".

They repeated their success in the open competition of the South-West community of Moscow, attended by the 24 teams from various towns of Russia.

The meeting of the Board of Directors on JSC "Tatenergo" held in the new membership

The meeting, lead by the Board of Directors Chairman, First Deputy Premier of Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Muratov, attended the members of the Board of Directors –Minister of Economy of Republic of Tatarstan Marat Safiullin, Minister of Finances of Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gaizatullin, Deputy of Economy Farid Tuktarov, General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev etc.

The agenda included the issues of distribution of responsibilities of the members of the Board of Directors, foundation of the permanent committees of the Board of Directors of JSC "Tatenergo", budget implementation for first six months of 2007. Besides, the management of the Company informed the members of the Board of Directors of results of financial- business activities of JSC "Tatenergo" for the first half of 2007.

Considering that feasibility studied tariffs today are one of the factors in provision the dependability of the power system and competitiveness on ten electricity market, the Board of Directors decided to found the new committee for tariff formation and investment policy. Power engineering university enrolled this year the one thousand four hundred freshmen. Renovated building of Menzelinsk special (correction) boarding school for orphans and parentless children was opened on August 31 in the presence of Deputy of Gossovet of Republic of Tatarstan, General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev, head of Menzelinsk municipal district Georgi Kuprianov, mangers of the enterprises, organizations and settlements, and entrepreneurs. Mayor of 1000-year-old Yelabuga thanks the power engineering specialists for assistance with the town Jubilee celebrations

As part of preparation of Yelabuga infrastructure for the Millennium the power engineering specialists did big work. According to program of capital construction the electricity was reconstructed in the historical downtown, on streets Kazanskaya, Bol. Pokrovskaya, Spasskaya, Gassara, Staheeva, children poly-clinic, the town culture house, the orphanage of family type. Was overhauled the HL ВЛ 220 kV Zavodskaya − Toima-2 of length 22.4 km.

Were cleaned the ways from trees and bushes on the both chains of electricity transmission lines 110 kV Toima-2 − Prikamskaya, Toima-2 − Yelabuga, HL 110 kV Yelabuga − Morty-2. The substations Prikamskaya and Morty –2 were overhauled. At SS "Toima-2" was doen the overhaul of switches and circuit breakers 110 kV. At substations "Prikamskaya", "Yelabuga" and "Toima-2" was done the thermal-vision control of facilities. The five power transformers SS "Prikamskaya" and "Yelabuga" were diagnosed. The 13.8 km of HL 10 kV, 11.3 km of HL 0.4 kV and 14 KTP were overhauled.

Mintimer Shaimiev visited Tatarstan power cluster

During the visitation President familiarized with the new technologies in electro-technical industry, that are realized at this plant site. The JSC "ТАTЭК" (Tatarstan Electro-Technical Company) was founded by initiative of JSC "Tatenergo" in February 2005 to organized production in Tatarstan of block set transformer substations and parts to them by Schneider Electric technology. Mintimer Sharipovich visited the site for adapting the mono-blocks RM-6, made in France. Here specialists of JSC "TATEK" modify the standard set of mono-blocks RM-6 for bringing in accordance with Russian terms, and where necessary – furnishing the mono-blocks with additional functions.
