JSC "Tatenergo" is one of the leading electrical power complexes in Russia. The holding company "Tatenergo" incorporates JSC "Generation Company", JSC "Grid Company", Close JSC "RDU Tatenergo", JSC "Kazan Thermal Grid Company", 4 branches, including the sales company "Energosbyt".

The non-core activities were transformed into independent companies, rendering the transportation services, repair services, the maintenance services, construction materials manufacture, scientific, engineering and design provision, personnel training and other.
The association supplies electricity and heat to
Tatarstan Republic, the biggest industrial and agricultural region of the area of 68,000 sq. km. It may provide additional 1,000-1,500 MW of electricity.
As of 01/01/2008 the installed electrical capacity of the association power plants is 6,975 ÌW, the thermal capacity - 15,032 Gcal/h.

Having the significant reserve of capacity, JSC "Tatenergo" supplies the electricity and power upon the wholesale market.
Annually the power system generates about 25 billion kW/h of electricity and supplies over 30 million Gcal of heat.
The length of the aerial and cable lines of electricity transmission constitutes over 68 thousand kilometers. Total length of the thermal networks of JSC "Tatenergo" constitutes about 900 kilometers.

JSC "Tatenergo" is an energy base for the big oil-drilling, oil-processing, petrol, rubber and automobile companies located in Republic.
Basic consumers of JSC "Tatenergo" are on the territory of Tatarstan Republic. The mid-and long-term prospects of development of the Holding are related to economical growth in Tatarstan.
